Tell us about yourself Jayda?

I grew up here in Bendigo with my parents and two siblings. For a short time, my family and I moved to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland which was such an amazing experience!

In my spare time I love to hang out with my family and socialise with friends. I also enjoy cooking and exercising.

In my last two years of schooling, I completed a school-based traineeship at McKean McGregor Real Estate. Through the traineeship I completed VCE, a Cert 3 in Business and my Real Estate Agents Representative Certificate.

Coming from a family in the building industry I always had a passion for design, being lucky enough to help with design & styling decisions from a young age! In my second year of full-time work at McKean McGregor I completed a styling course which really confirmed my dreams of working in Interior Design. I am now going on to complete a Diploma in Interior design whilst working at MYHAH!

What do you love about working at MYHAH?

The culture here is amazing. We all work together as a team which creates such a positive environment. Being able to get creative and share ideas every day with the team is lots of fun. I love that a large part of my role is getting to talk to people and help achieve their styling goals!

What does home mean to you?

Home to me means family and friends. I am lucky enough to have a large support system full of friends and family around me here in Bendigo and up in the Sunshine Coast!

What is your favourite MYHAH piece?

We have so many beautiful pieces in the gallery, but my current favourite is the Molmic Baxter Sofa. It is a very versatile piece as the curved edges and pinch seam stitching create a relaxed and cosy look however it would also work nicely in a formal space!

If you can offer one piece of style advice, what would it be?

Let your personality be seen through the pieces and colours you choose. The space is yours and there is something so special about making it unique and your own!

What design trends are you loving at the moment?

Mixing textures is one of my favourites as I feel texture plays a huge role when trying to achieve a certain feel in a space. I also love the look and feel that natural materials and pieces bring to a space.
