Tell us about yourself Holly?
From a young age, I've always been drawn to beauty. Whether it's dressing impeccably for every occasion, constantly refreshing my room decor, or choreographing dances, my love for aesthetics and harmony has manifested in many unique ways. Growing up in a family business sparked my early interest in business processes, leading me to earn a Business Certification by age 19. While immersed in the dance world as head instructor/manager at a local studio, I still found time for my passion for transformational projects—from converting bedrooms into offices and garages into cosy lounges, to repurposing sheds into dance studios. My passion for Interior Design led me to designing and building my own tiny home, and achieve a Diploma in Interior Design in 2024. Outside of work, you'll find me teaching swimming, indulging in a bit of dance, hunting for vintage treasures, knitting, tackling upcycling projects, and nurturing my garden and pets.
What do you love about working at MYHAH?
What don't I love! The gallery is a truly fulfilling workspace. Being surrounded by such beautiful furniture and decor, connecting with customers, and helping them find the perfect addition for their homes, It is an all-around dream workplace. Not to mention the blessing of working closely alongside such a kind and caring team!
What does home mean to you?
Home is that comforting haven where you can truly be yourself. It's a place to create, unwind, and embrace every emotion. Our homes reflect who we are—our personalities, passions, and values woven into every corner. Picture cosy evenings with a warm cup of tea by the fire on a cold winter's night, or vibrant gatherings in the midst of a lively summer. As they say, home is where the heart is!
What is your favorite MYHAH piece?
GlobeWest products captured my heart the moment I stepped into the Gallery. Their distinctive rugs stand out to me, but I must admit, the Molmic Coogee Chair, with its regal yet vintage charm, is a piece I'd love to bring home!
If you can offer one piece of style advice, what would it be?
Embrace the power of colour! While it may initially seem intimidating, color is a fundamental principle of design that can evoke emotions and cultivate a distinctive atmosphere. Whether you prefer monochromatic elegance or the harmony of complementary hues, color has the ability to completely transform the ambiance of any home.
What design trends are you loving at the moment?
Curves! Shape is a design principle often overlooked, yet it holds significance over the harmony of a home. The gentle, soft contours of curved furniture not only make for a unique touch but also evoke a sense of calm and fluidity in any space.
