To give you some background about this project, our client, who lives just out of Melbourne, purchased our Couture for Living furniture package. We worked with her via phone, email, photos and Facetime. We curated a look and feel for her home that she was thrilled with.
Our client had purchased an ex-display home and was a little stuck with how to furnish it. She didn't love how it had been furnished when it was on display and couldn't get past it. She was very open to ideas and very decisive with what she did and more importantly did not like which made her a dream to work with. One other important factor we had to take into consideration was her baby, a large rambunctious dog named Axel. He spends a lot of time inside and so the cover on the sofa had to be very hardy. We specified a Molmic sofa called the Dempsey in a custom modular configuration and suggested it be upholstered in Warwick Eastwood Tan, which is a commercially graded fabric made to look like leather (not vinyl) so it is still soft to the touch but very easy to clean.
We paired the Molmic modular with a round Paddington Rug from The Rug Collection, GlobeWest Tully Coffee Table in Natural Ash, GlobeWest Orlando Ottoman, GlobeWest Aperto Side Table in Black and a GlobeWest Kennedy Swivel Chair which we had custom upholstered by our upholstery business.
All cushions, throw and decorator accessories from and styled by Make Your House A Home.
The Entry has a narrow little niche which was perfect for the GlobeWest Elle Slim Console, measuring only 25cm deep it is my go to for anyone wanting to create an entry experience but they don't have a lot of room. We paired it up with a GlobeWest Lasso Mirror off set with a gorgeous (and very realistic) premade floral arrangement with native foliage.
The Primary Bedroom also had a makeover with this custom Luxe bed with wings spanning behind the bedside tables. This bed is custom made by our upholstery business Furnish and can be made in any fabric of your choosing. In this case we chose Glamour fabric from the Wortley Group in a gorgeous colour called camel. The Tully Bedsides are from GlobeWest, the lamps and all the bedlinen are all from Make Your House A Home. The client was in love with these black bedsides but they would have been lost in the dark carpet so we decided to float the whole bedroom suite on a Baya Nebraska Rug.
